Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa Flow classes focus on a dynamic sequence that links the transitions of poses to your breath. Our classes incorporate a “peak pose,” meaning the class is structured to prepare for that pose.

Recovery

The Recovery class focuses on preventing and addressing aches and pains caused by daily life, running, weight training, and more. These classes will be a mix of Hatha and Slow Vinyasa style classes, rooted in improving flexibility and reducing soreness.

Foundation Classes

“Am I doing this right?” Foundation classes focus on safe and proper alignment of poses. Feel more confident and comfortable in your yoga poses to continue building your yoga foundation. Foundation Classes will also be offered to focus on several yoga poses. These shorter (30-minute) classes will allow students to ask questions and receive individualized feedback on the alignment of poses that best fit their bodies.

Vinyasa Class Levels

Beginner

The Beginner Vinyasa classes are designed to help you build a strong foundation in yoga while cultivating confidence in your practice. Together, we'll explore fundamental postures such as Downward-Facing Dog, Cobra, Warrior I, Warrior II, and Forward Fold, while learning the principles of healthy alignment, mindful movement, and breath awareness (pranayama).

These classes are ideal for those who are new to yoga or looking to revisit the basics with greater intention. While beginner classes can still be physically engaging, they move at a more approachable pace, offering time to understand each posture, connect movement with breath, and become familiar with Sun Salutations.

Whether you're stepping onto the mat for the first time or returning after time away, this class provides a supportive environment to develop body awareness, reduce stress, and build a practice that supports both your physical and mental well-being.

Intermediate

The Intermediate Vinyasa classes are designed for students who have a solid understanding of foundational yoga postures and are ready to deepen their practice. Building on the basics, these classes introduce more dynamic sequencing, greater coordination of breath and movement, and opportunities to refine alignment.

You'll explore postures such as Chaturanga Dandasana, Upward-Facing Dog, more challenging balancing poses, and other intermediate variations. We begin to build the strength, stability, and body awareness that serve as the foundation for arm balances. Classes also incorporate the Sanskrit names of common postures, helping you develop a deeper understanding of the tradition and language of yoga.

Intermediate classes move at a quicker pace than Beginner Vinyasa and often include more complex transitions and longer sequences. Students should feel comfortable with foundational poses and Sun Salutations before attending.

Advanced

The Advanced Vinyasa classes are designed for experienced practitioners who are ready to deepen and challenge their practice through dynamic movement and advanced postures. These classes build upon a strong foundation of alignment, breath, and body awareness while encouraging exploration with intention and mindfulness.

Students will practice arm balances such as Crow Pose, Side Crow, Firefly Pose, Flying Splits, along with more advanced transitions, including one-legged flows and jump-throughs. Floating Forward, and Jump Back. Classes also incorporate Sanskrit terminology, allowing students to further connect with the traditional language and philosophy of yoga.

Advanced Vinyasa moves at a steady, challenging pace and is best suited for students who are comfortable practicing foundational and intermediate postures with safe alignment and confidence. While these classes offer opportunities to explore more complex poses, the emphasis remains on moving with awareness, respecting your body's limits, and honoring your individual practice.

Open-Level

The Open-Level Vinyasa classes are designed to welcome students of all experience levels, from those newer to yoga to seasoned practitioners. Rooted in the flowing tradition of Vinyasa, these classes offer a balanced practice that emphasizes mindful movement, breath awareness, and the connection between body and mind.

Throughout class, you'll be offered modifications to make postures more accessible, as well as advanced variations for those seeking additional challenge. This allows every student to practice in a way that honors their unique body, experience, and goals.

Rather than focusing on achieving the "perfect" pose, Open-Level Vinyasa encourages curiosity, self-awareness, and personal growth. Whether you're building your foundation, refining your practice, or exploring new possibilities, you'll find a supportive community where you can move with confidence, reconnect with yourself, and nurture both your physical and mental well-being.
